It’s now nearly impossible for Republicans to get elected in another U.S. city.

Harris County in Texas, home to Houston, saw no Republicans win countywide office in the 2018 midterms for the first time in modern history, according to the Houston Chronicle

Democrats swept all 59 judicial races, ousting several GOP incumbents. This rout comes after the Republican sheriff and district attorney were defeated in 2016.
